    I wonder how women want their freedom to be!!!!It is sadly that some of our mothers and sisters today thinking that women are liberated in the West and the Women’s liberation movement began in the 20th century. But actually, the women’s liberation movement was not begun by west or women but was revealed by God to a man in the seventh century by the name of Muhammad (S) The Qur’an and the Traditions of the Prophet (Hadith or Sunnah) are the sources from which every Muslim woman derives her rights and duties.

    Islam, fourteen centuries ago, made women equally accountable to God in glorifying and worshipping Him – setting no limits on her moral progress. Also, Islam established a woman’s equality in her humanity with men, In the Qur’an, in the first verse of the chapter entitled "Women", God says, "O mankind! Be careful of your duty toward your Lord who created you from a single soul and from it its mate and from them both have spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom you claim (your rights) of one another, and towards the wombs (that bore you). Lo! Allah has been a Watcher over you." (4:1

    Infect the Muslim woman was given a role, duties and rights 1400 years ago and most women do not enjoy today, even in the West. These are from God and are designed to keep balance in society; what may seem unjust or missing in one place is compensated for or explained in another
    place.ISLAM is a complete way of life

    I feel that Islam labels women as sex objects, everything a woman does is sexual, that’s why she needs to be covered and put away



    This is becoming a hard struggle for Muslim women today



    If women and men are equal and women have equal rights as men, i feel its time for the Muslim women to exercise their right just as men do

    No i dont want to walk around naked, but i want to be respected as a Muslim woman without the need for me to be covered from head to toe and lower my head in the presense of men


    This is the type of freedom that Muslim women want, the freedom of choice

    I choose not to cover my hair because i am not convinced that it would add anything to my faith or it my self-respect
    And I wish the women of Islam have that freedom of choice as well

    Well I think you have been confused her coz all what you are asking for it is there happening!!! if you talk about respected dress ppl are wearing them now and no one saying nothing for it ,,and about faith if I have faith to God so why I have to do things against him!!! if I have a strong faith and I know that what I'm doing is right I wont care about ppl and I wont be afraid from being executed,, you know that! you are asking for something which is against God wish and you still talking about faith to Allah ,, you cant uncover you self out to public and say I have a faith to Allah!!!! you may have it but what about ppl who will see you??GOD IS GREAT SIS GOD IS GREAT

    In the context we are talking, by "dress" i mean the Islamic dress, and what is the islamic dress?? its to be covered from head to toe (i did say that above) ..... Hijab, la7af, Abaya, Jilbab, 5emar, .. they are all part of the
    islamic dress for women

    But in my opinion ,,

    Islamic dress especially hijab provides us with an identity.

    So we don't have to tell people we are Muslims. It shows.

    Some people may think that the more a woman covers,

    the less freedom she has.

    But, according to Muslim tradition, it is actually the opposite.

    The less she wears, the more she is degraded and the more

    she is put in the line of fire of male criticism.

    I’m astonished at the behavior of some women who claim to want "freedom".

    She can't understand how going topless, for example, represents equality.

    People have to understand that we females and males

    are not equal in body image but we should be equal in rights, in justice

    And as we all know.. that every body has his own way of thinking.

    We all are Muslims

    Thanks for your comment, where the women liberation starts specially in the west I think because of the way they use and still live made them feel that women have been humiliated, over there women are priceless you’ll find a women dancing naked ( stripping ). For men and a lot of other things.


    But in our religion and society it is not there we are prizing women a women have a great place as our Prophet(S) said, "Heaven lies under the feet of mothers". And the truth is they are not happy or they want our society to be like their and unfortunately some of our mothers and sisters trying to follow and encourage other too infect they destroying our society. The last thing I want to say is why a women being prized in Islam because this implies that the success of a society can be traced to the mothers who raised it. The first and greatest influence on a person comes from the sense of security, affection, and training received from the mother. Therefore, a woman having children must be educated and conscientious in order to be a skillful parent. So we should thank God for us being Muslims. x

  • yes we agree that women should receive freedom according to what islam says. but it doesnt mean that she change whatever islam orders them to do. i think there is no need to argue alot about the islamic hijab it is advantages are as clear as the sun and you people are absolutly aware of that.

    we as men wallahe respect the woman who wears the islamic hijab than the one who doesnt and we fear alot even to speak to them. on the other hand we dont put much respect on a woman who does the other way around. moreover, some of our weak-hearted muslims even try to "hunt here" as they say in their colloquial language. have you asked yourself why guys anywhere in the globle try to bother non-covered girls with whatever they like?? on the other hand they dont try even to look at covered girls or bother them??

    it is because of alhijab.

    the world is becoming a small town now, and people travel every where,
    so the Muslim men have to learn how to respect ALL women, wether she is covered or not, whether she is wearing a bikini or a Abaya, the way she is dresses does not give the man a permission to treat her like a sex object

    God asked ALL the muslims to lower thier vision in the presense of the other gender, and he didnt say "if she is wearing the Hijab then respect her, and if she is not wearing it then look at her and harrass her all that you want""!!!!!!I
