Is 550 R.O.'s enough?

      I'm fresh gradute worked 3 months ago. I joined a company with a salary of 550 R.O.'s monthly.

      I've been hearing lots of complaints and I'm experiencing the difficulties myself with the amount of cash that I get paid compared to the standard of living that we are living in now. I mean if we look at the cost of the essential things that we need in life~!@q :
      1. Lands are becoming unaffordably expensive!!!
      2. Building material and manpower is increasing...
      3. Flat and room rental is increasing...
      4. Food, either from restaurant or if you make it your own is exponentially increasing...
      5. Even marriage Dowries are increasing too!!!

      Now what I can't understand is: Why Salaries aren't increasing too?!!!

      Everything is so demanding that they forget, in order to maintain balance, they need to give back something in return.

      I'm from a relativly average family and I help out my family back home. With all the running costs, I can only save around 200 a month. Which means to buy a decent car, I'll need around 10 MONTHS!!!! What about the other things, I'll need to buy a land, build a house and get married....

      I'm facing this myself, but there are workers that work for 120R.O. only! I can't possibly imagine how can they manage...

      this issue can have an extreme and diverse turns when it comes to discussion! Many would argue that such a salary is by far not enough and could easily produce a list similar to the one you posted. Although there are some lucky people out there who graduated and managed to get jobs with some astonishing starting salaries, the fact of the matter remains that not everyone is as lucky!! Beside such salaries are only paid by mainly oil companies and not everyone can work there. Not all majors can enter the oil business

      Trust me the salary you're talking about here is good enough as a starting salary. In your post you gave the perfect example on how to look at this. There are people who would work to the bone for only 12O Rials a month. Imagine how do they manage to last till the end of the month. Remeber such people also do have families who depend on their assisstance in running their homes

      I Myself was a fresh graduate once and i got a job in the government with a starting salary of 450 Rials. I had to wait for a year before i got a raise! The salary you're talking about is primarly the average pay for fresh gradutes and keep in mind that in time you'll earn a raise of some kind

      The way i see it is that people tend to look up to people who tend to have more of what they dont! Take my word for it, such poeople will never be satisfied with anything. Whereas if they looked up to people who are not as fortunate as they are, they would've found happiness and thanked ALLAH for everything

      although i am still student but i can fell whats the prop and i understand it~!@@ai cause my broth is comoblining toooooooo much and he said~!@@ad ~!@@ad -how can we get married and make a family if the sitution doesnt change
      but at least u got a job at the moment but we as a student our future is still???????????????????????????????????????????

    • I tottaly agre with you Mr الكلباني . Me and my spouse get amount of 1200 rials as a salary.We save 500 rials evey month. WE have the land but we can;t build our house because materilas gets expensive everyday. During Eid days we take from money that we have saved, we also take when we need for other circumstances.
      However, believe me if the salary raise, again everythings will get more expensive. Tha solution is that there must be rules and regulations to control the price.
