Oman Polypropylene LLC invites qualified candidates to apply for the post of Materials Specialist
Responsibilities:
· Define and maintain technical specifications of materials and ensure availability to support the maintenance and production functions
· Define purchase specifications for all materials on stock and maintain material master data base in company business system (SAP)
· Maintain an optimum stocking level of inventory to ensure the required level of plant reliability.
· Inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase order and/or applicable material specifications, including engineering drawings, equipment manuals and product catalogs
· Develop preservation procedures and assist to maintain items in storage
· Periodically inspect items with long residence times to confirm integrity of materials
· Establish and maintain annual supply contracts for high consumption items
· Prepare appropriate reports as per requirement of management and end-users.

Requirements:
· Mechanical Engineering graduate or diploma in Materials Management
· Minimum of six (6) years experience in materials management in a petrochemical or oil and gas industries.
· Sound knowledge of international codes and standards
· Should be able to interpret equipment drawings.
· Knowledge in SAP materials management module
· Good communication skill
· Good knowledge of MS Office applications
