Bioinformatics workshop for Beginners
April 11-15, 2010
A workshop on Bioinformatics for beginners will be held in Biochemistry Department, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University during 11-15th April 2010. Subjects to be covered include:
1. Basic DNA Sequence Analysis
2. Sequence comparison- identity, homology and mutation matrices.
3. Determining Protein Structure from Sequence using Computational Approaches
4. Small and large scale expression analysis, Genome data analysis.
5. Phylogenetic Analysis.
The workshop will be run by Mr. David Judge from Cambridge University, United Kingdom. It will run daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; Sunday to Thursday.
