Nowadays is quite different than the old days, as everyone is busy with something, even if the husband or the brother aren’t far from their families, still, they might get the time to do all the work (taking their families for shopping or other places) but still some of them cannot do such things, everyone has an engagements, some of them don't like to go here & there, wait for them to finish & taking long time, so when everyone has his /her own car, everyone will be fine. They can finish all the stuff without waiting or delying.
But at the end, its all depends on the family...they might be conservative....or otherwise they have no issues with that...they can spare some time to take their family/ wife wherever they want.
