i havent read this topic .. but now i did.. and If i may totally disagree


Teachers complain the most... of course i am talking about female teachers .. i dont know about the males..
they have the most flexible schedule, and the most holidays and yet they complain of how HARD thier work is and how tired they are

teachers will never choose to be multi workers:
first of all they are used to the easy work-atmosphere,
second, they know that no matter how hard they work, they will never get rewarded, so why kill themselves working hard when the 500 OMR will still stay 500 OMR??????S

A teacher is a teacher, there is no such thing as as "excellences" or rewards.... why bother kill yourself in hardwork when you could get it the easier way????s

I think I totally disagree with Mrs Unfaithful and Mr VIP.. I dont think people dont get rewards, I would say it depends on the person, what he/she likes to do. My mother have been teaching for the past 23 years and she did get rewarded so many times, she was offered to be a principle but she rejected the offer, the same thing happened to my uncle's wife. Do you know why they rejected it? Because they knew that they could make a change if they are teachers, being a principle is so much into management than teaching. With teaching you do gain skills whether you are teaching in a private department or gorvernment one (schools) the secret is HOW do you conduct your teaching? Do you know that those teachers do a lot of research for every lesson they prepare for and get really tired to get as much information as they can to provide the students with and yet they still love it to the bones and enjoy it. If you love something badly, you will be totally dedicated to it!!i

If in government schools the teacher did well in her job and she did make herself heard by the administration then certainly she will get rewarded, those teachers if they are working for the salary, then they are not being honest in their work. Are they working for the money or working to pass the knowledge and educate the students? These are two different reasons to start off with. Those who are honest you will see it clearly in the way they teach, you will see how hard they work, and trust me they will easily be rewarded. Unlike the dishonest teachers, they will always stay at the botton if they dont work their skills up and improve them. Don't forget there is God who watches how honest they are and will give them what they deserve in this life according to the efforts they put in their job. A normal teacher can work harder than the teacher in the private educational institute and can also increase his/her salary. Im saying what Im saying from my experience as I did come across many many teachers in my life and Im very familiar with the education system in Oman.

Do you know that teachers should also learn from their job? Its not only by teaching they think that they dont need to learn, from doing the research thing they can know a lot of things they didnt already know. They can improve their communication skills, they can improve their phsycological skills, if they ever notice that they have to improve them. People need to change the way they look at teaching. Many teachers have spoiled that beautiful image of a teacher because of they disrespectful attitude

the VIP said that he would miss the good times with family, my mother missed a lot of good times with us and we didnt get much time with her really. If it is the time, she used to do her work until 6 or 7 o'clock and then she would ask about our studies and see what we are up to. There are some days when she stayed up til 11pm, especially during exams back in the old days. But just couple of years ago when the basic education was introduced she had more time, but after what? after we grew up and see no need to spend that much time with her? See these are the things that we dont realize. Even though she got more time, you will see her on the internet doing her research thing or get books from the library to do her readings.. She tried hard to manage her time and she was good, I cant say we didnt spend much time at all, but during holidays, they were the best time to have fun together

When talking about the teaching in a private department or if i may call it a private educational institute whatever it is, uni, college, etc. Maybe I will have to work harder, maybe I will be spending less time with my family, but Im learning a lot and thats what I think is important. the less than 500 rials can increase, depends on how much effort you put. Things that come easy, cannot be appreciated and no blessings in it because you know you didnt work hard enough for it. How can you live such a life? the teacher has to work to make every rial halal for him/her to have it. With the private teaching, you can still gain the same skills if you are devoted enough to the job. I wouldnt reccommend though to be a multiworker. It's good but the quality is not as good as when you focus on one thing. However, having said that, there will be many talented people who are capable of doing more than one thing and do it perfectly..

I would personally choose the job that would make me learn more and give me more chances of getting away from my job for a while, but do something related or something that would help me improve my skills. If I had to choose teaching, I would choose neither, because Im not for it.. and even if Im for teaching, then I wouldnt want to teach more than 2-3 days a week from 7 to 7 and make sure that I produce an excellent work!!i I dont like the routine style of teaching everyday, I like change and discovering new styles and methods for better teaching
