      Today I want to discuss a very important topic which is about a phenomena start to appear in our society ( using mobile phone in negative way) #h

      As the mobile phone technologies developed as It become more helpful to the humanity but using it for bad purposes could cause a serous risk to the society

      Let me give an example

      A guy took a picture to innocent girl without her knowledge by using a mobile phone contain a camera then he distributed it among his friends with a little of modification by using computer programs to show the girl in a very bad situation

      So instead of using the mobile phone to make our life easy , It could destroy it


      Even the bluetooth technology could be helpful and also could be harmful

      Mobile phone technology and other technologies could be helpful or harmful and that depends on the user himself but this user does not live alone he is a part of our society so
      the risk of his using could expand to other people in the society

      I am sure that I don’t cover all the points

      So plz let me hear your views about this topic and how can we stop this phenomena

      Believe it or not I have never had a mobile, it is true I do when I travel abroad, but dump it once back home. It was only earlier this year that I have decided I have one mainly for one reason, I do not want others whoever may call me when my fixed one is engaged logged on the internet
      To tell you the truth I only use my land or fixed line as they call it, though it is not fixed, I keep moving it round the house :P do not tell

      Well, I am talking in general, most of us are at work if not at home, it is correct we go out for some time and I wonder who are we to keep in touch, and with whom


      I do not deny that mobiles are great means of communications and stay close. I do not see it so when it comes to see a girl calling her sister within the same house just to check where in the house she is sitting, I do not see it so when talking for an hour knowing you are going to see and meet the person you are talking to in few minutes, I do not see it so when we complain about bills when we can do without it, I do not see it so when I see public telephones every where and every corner, I do not see it so when people get it just to show off, I do not see it so when some pay as much as their salary and wages for 3 or months to buy the little machine, let alone the bill

      I know there are some sensible people around, settling for a simple cheap device, using it in urgent situations and when required, and I do not deny the fact that there are some sensible people who deserve this great technology

      Talking about taking pictures of girls and so, I can say nothing but a pronominal, conscience and ethics problem and crisis we should work altogether to defeat and demolish

      Listen to this, my grandmother received me last night with a big smile, saying wow, good news son, Omantel is introducing new services, I can access the internet now with my mobile

      I looked at her and said, great news granny, you need it, I wish my grandfather was a live so you can chat with him when you have a row and every one of you is sleeping in a different bed in a different rooms
      As I one once saying

      You are right dear about this phenomenon, which had appeared in this time
      To be honest I see what you are talking about with some boys who misuses
      This great devise which had made for using it for necessities but who does??
      and I noticed that some people when they go to public places such hypermarkets centers
      They keep their blue tooth working and send some pictures and videos to anyone who has the same phone what I mean here exactly 6600 and other one I don’t it’s name
      But still there are some who use them in a good way
      Of course not all of the people are the same

    • well well what do we have here.. talking about mobile phones.. I guess it's a human nature that we all use and misuse the things that are created for us to make our life easier, it's the curiousity that leads us to bettering the technologies we are using. Unfortunately, many people do not understand that very well as they think it's created for them to use in any manner they want

      Although we are muslims living in islamic society, but people very much disrespect the privacy of others and thats what I noticed really and for what? just being curious.. to hell with curiousity if it's violating others privacy and rights but this is the fact that we cant deny

      I have the latest technology in my mobile, the 3rd generation one, and I use it for the purposes of communicating with people easily. I have a voice mail, i can access internet, i can email people and make voice and video calls all from the same device. It did really make it easier for me, however I also realized that I can use all these features here in Australia as Im hard to get through and all the time doing something, somewhere

      Misusing it is part of stupidity where people instead of trying to improve that feature and use it for good purposes, the sickness in their minds takes over their actions to encourage them to misuse it

      The boys will always and forever seek ways to interact with girls or get their attention, and many girls are contributing to this problem and at the same time complain, what a silly thing!!i

      I never had a mobile phone until I came to Australia as I was forced to get one since it was one of the regulations to let staff contact me directly, their idea of having a mobile is to make it easy to reach the person, since the mobile is with the person 24/7 the staff can make sure that they can find the person and pass their message, Im never home so the mobile is really helping me here

      Unlike Tenderness, we never use the landline because we always leave it for dad anyway or receive calls from people when there is no signal in the house somewhere or the person cannot be reached, we have a different line for internet so that we dont miss any calls, most of the calls are for my father anyway, every person in my house has a mobile phone, because it is really easy to get the person, especially when it comes to emergencies

      I see that it's all in the head, if the person does not think of doing anything harmful to others, then he wouldnt think of misusing the phone and as I said, people do not respect the privacy of others in Oman. The boys will do anything and it really makes laugh when I look at the way they do things to get attention, I think this problem has to be addressed and discussed on air, radio or TV...
