NEW IDEA

    • I really enjoyed reading the biography of Khalil Jibran Khalil because it is the first I know more about this great poet. I have to say that I am not accustomed to read for Jibran and the first time I read an English poem for him was here in fun and arts by one of the members ( Nazlat Alsiman). The second poem which is in English I read it by the post of Gassan. At first, I thought that Jibran's poems are translated and I don't know that Jibran is himself wrote poems in English. It is really amazing to know these facts. So, I though about posting this topic and share it with all of you. I hope that you will enjoy this idea and cooperate to create something here like an encyclopedia. That will be helpful for our knowledge to know more about the great Arabic poets who write in English. Everyone can talk about his or her favorite poet and we will try all inshallah to collect information about each poet in a topic. So, are you with me or not?

I am suggesting that the great poet Edward Said should be our next poet.

Hope to hear your opinions soon because I am sure if we have determination to go further in this topic it will increase our poor knowledge. Sometimes, I feel shame to not know anything about these great poets.

Hope to see you soon inshallah.

    • Thank you Scream
I am sorry, excuse me, and I do not know how to say it, but being Jibran wrote some peoms in English does not make him a great one. Jibran has been the greatest at all times, and it is enough to read some of his Arabic peoms to realize that

Anyway, I would like to thank you for this idea and I hope as much as you do we see more and more contributions from others here

      Thank you again
      :)
