Of course we can, but it's not aimed to rich people, to everyone who is ABLE to pay Zakah.. People are too worried that they spend much and not be able to pay for other stuff, but thinking about Zakah, if the money a person has will apply on it the rules or requirements to pay Zakah then she/he should pay it

Plus we all know why Zakah was one of the things we muslims are supposed to d, to balance the economy of the society, help the needy people...etc And also those who give Zakah with a pure intention, insha'a Allah they will be rwarded either in life, or saved for judgement day

I guess because people don't spend much time with aussies that's why they still can't grasp the idea that they have such a different accent, you should listen to those people from inner states, it is hard to understand them.. but the aussie culture is all about giving nicknames by the way.. they name their cars, toys, pets, books, junk stuff..etc

It was not very hard for me to get used to the slang or the accent because it was english after all, but I had to listen with attention. The same problem happened to me when I went to Republic of Ireland, the people there had totally different accent and it took me a month to get used to it. I couldn't say it is a bad accent just because it was hard for me, because I believe all accents are beautiful and the beauty in it is to be able to understand it and then pick to be able to talk just like them.. it's really fun..
