      Hello everybody
      athough I am an employer ,I have been thinking of study . And due to my work I cant't travel abroad , so I have been thinking of correspondent study at home via internet .
      Please if you know about universities that introduce correspondent study , post the websites of the universities .

      I believe you are looking for what is called distant learning or distance learning
      Just go to any search engine and look for "distant learning" and I am sure you will find what you are looking for, if no, please let us know and we will help you

      But let me tell you this, if you are to take distancce learning for the sake of more knowledge then that is fine but if it is for qualifications please check before you join in any of then and make sure that your degree or whatever is recongnised by the concerned bodies

    • There are so many online resources offering Study by Correspondence or Distance Learning. There are so many institutions offering degrees by correspondence but you need to be very careful in your choice as most of them are business oriented and so they are going to milk your pocket without the expected educational revenue.

      In order to be on the safe side proceed with your registration by consulting the ministry of Higher Education. They will advise you on weather an institution is accredited or not. Some unwary people think that Higher Education is being intrusive and bureaucrat by asking people to consult them although they are paying from their won pocket. Of course, you don’t want to loose your money and end up finding out that your diploma is just like any piece of paper.

      In your choice, keep questioning “What for am I paying? In exchange of what?” Different institutions have different polices. In the top accredited institutions, a distant learner can watch the regular class on-line (video and audio) and for each course you take you will have a professor with whom you communicate and submit the weekly homework online.
      On the other hand, there are some institutions who just ask you for money and they will send you the handouts. You will not be in touch with them until the end of the semester when you will have to take the exam. I have no idea about that.

      Frankly speaking, if there is no professor to be in touch with I wouldn’t go for distance learning. If only knowledge that matter, I self-study by selecting the correct book and it works with me just fine even in technical courses like Math and programming.

      If you want your degree for improving your CV’s record towards promotions, then your plan will be more flexible and quality may not be an issue. Just check its feasibility by consulting your employer and see how your plan will work.

      Few moths ago, i spent a lot of my time sear searching in the web sites about good universities that i could do my distant learning through. And I contact different universities till i discovered that there is a center here in Oman called Australia Agency for Trainning and Learning (Sorry i almost forget the name and i am not sure if i gave you the right one)) . Anyway, when i went there, i was really glad to know they have some universites in Australia that I can do my Distant learning but i have to go to Dubai. The problem was that the High Education Ministry is still till now thinking about this topic, Should they accredite
      this kind of distant Learning or not.
      SO, till now, it is useless to do ditant Learning $

      unfortunately, we don't have many options here in Oman to complete our high studies. Sultan Qaboos University is opening the chance for people who want to complete their studies but they are still don't have all the majors .
      There is also Majan College and Disley Institiution who just offer MBA.

      So, you could try searching in these places here in Oman instead of Distant Learning because in last you will be still in Oman |a

    • Hi again brother,
      I just thought it will be good to tell you the new news about high education if you are still interested. During this week, there are some lectures given in Radisson Sas Hotel about doing your Bhd or MA in different universities. I heard there are about 10 universities which are giving lectures about their system.

      One of these universities is Hull University and the good thing about this university is that you can do your MA without breaking your work. Besides, this University is recognized by the Ministry of High Education. i am not sure if Hull university is going to give its lecture today or tomorrw on Monday, but i am going today there and hope i will find what I want.

      I will come back inshallah to tell you the latest news.
