The Enemy and I,
Were friends like twins.
We talked with harmony,
And acted like dreamy swains.

I pretended to like him
And he loved me.
I tried to adore him
And he devoured me.

I gave him my heart,
and an ear to listen
In return he gave me his sins.

With a ruthless and dark soul,
We planted a tree of deception
And the enemy watered it with foul.

A broken soul, a red tear,
And the black flag of betrayal
Is what we promised and swore
To be and stand by with wariness
In a world of delusion and fear.
