Demerits of primary data:
It is expensive.
It is time consuming.
Sometimes it may be difficult to approach the exact source.
It usually involves creating new definitions and measuring instruments such as questionnaires or interview forms.
Sources of primary data:
Direct personal interview.
Indirect personal interview.
Information from correspondents.
Mailed Questionnaires.
Questionnaires filled by enumerators. -
