Same-gender relationships increasing in Oman

What is happening to the Omani society? I know
how many Arabs wish to immitate or copy Western lifestyle, but as long
as it doesnt go against the teachings of our great religion, then it
should be ok. Right? What im talking about people is same-gender
relationships! Especially lesbians. Whats shocking is that these relationships are happening between Omanies (who are also supposed to be Muslims)! i

I have been hearing lots of incidents that are happening which involving same-gender relationships, ESPECIALLY IN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS! Theres another incident I recall hearing from someone which involed two Omani men trying to marry in the interior. The ended up getting caught by the police and sentanced to jail. i

What is going on here? i

You wil HEAR a lot, but shouldn't you be more careful about such things especially when you talk about such things in such public places like Oman0.net.

You just heard but not seen by yourself, right??

We don't want to spoil our country's image here please...

..alot of them those days
one thing that's different.. is that they dun agree that they are gay.. not like westerners.. they do agree.. and proud of it ..but ova here.. they hide it and keep it to themselves
..and u r rite.. it does happen in goverment schools alot..its those guy'z that got no girls to hook up with and they can't use () thier body to a girl.cuz they dun
get to hav a relationship with them anyway.. so they got no choice but to use it.. to other guys

However....Homosexual activities are flourishing quite
...freely in Dubai... In the local and ...expatriate communities
...a scary world out there

Thanks for bringing up this very sensitive issue, Omani Asli

I do agree with you and with the fellas, its happening alot among school youngsters, and i totally remember when i was in school and many girls would have "love" relationships
Some would also have them with the teachers (in my school at least)i
But i really believe that those relationships were non-sexual
We really have to understand the basis of defining a person as a Homosexual, gay or lesbian
its has absolutely nothing to do with western or imitating westerners, that would be such a shallow explanation!!!!i

Again, in my humble opinion, i think those same-gender emotions are results of lack of healthy emotions ... and in the age of high schools.. its family emotions
Plus, they are not very exposed and socialized with the other gender.. so they would just live an illusion of feelings of love to the closest people with them.. which is thier classmates

Now... of course there are homosexuals in our society.... but i am not an expert to explain why such thing... but i really believe that the reasons for that is not only social.. but alos psychological... and this latter is not very well taken care of here
