      HEALTHY EATING PLAN
      Total fat intake per day should be no more than 30% of total calories.

      Trim visible fat from meat.
      Remove skin from poultry before eating.

      Use vegetable oil (except palm oil) instead of butter or hard margarine. Avoid or minimise on fried foods.

      Some fish (salmon, trout, mackerel, etc) contains a unique fatty acid which prevents Coronary Heart Disease.

      Go easy on cheese and eggs.
      Switch to skimmed milk.
      Use low fat mayonnaise and yoghurt.

      Garlic contains Allicin which lowers Cholesterol.

      Eat plenty of salad, fresh.Veg. and fruit, it contains fibre vitamins and Carotenoids. Some vitamin (C&E) and Beta-Carotene act as anti-oxidants and help clear out harmful by-product.

      The dinner plate is a good guide to quantities. Don’t over-heap. Respect the lines! Select small quantities of varied items.
