Global Challange Of Secularism

    • Global Challange Of Secularism

Secularism means to separate religion from political life. This means that in the eyes of the secularists, man’s laws are superior to Allah’s laws and therefore Islam has no place in society. Consequently, the French government is seeking to ban the Hijab in schools, because the Hijab is an order of Allah that affects societal life. As Muslims we reject secularism because the law of Allah is the only valid law, while the law of man is not

The French government, upholding the European secular tradition, has opened up a new front in the war against Islam by recommending the banning of Hijab in schools across France. The aim of this move is more than the ban of headscarves – rather its aim is to ban the public expression of Islam in Europe in the name of secularism

Muslims all over the world and especially those in Europe must stand up to secularism where ever it is practised to ensure that our Islamic values are maintained. As the entire Ummah faces a struggle between truth and falsehood, we should stand shoulder to shoulder with our sisters in France in the face of this latest secular crusade
    • Dear The Master

Thank you very much for this hot topic

In fact I do not know the reasons behind this decision by the french state and president, I heard they are banning all other symbols of relegion including christians and jews from wearing the cross and Kolonswa respectively

What ever the case I guess it is nothing to do with politics to see a girl or a woman wearing hijab or veil but rather personal freedom and belief

It is war against Islam as you mentioned, and whoever tends to change education curriculums intended for young boys and gilrs know very well that the war against islam starts at the Hijab and veils

Even the head cover horrifies them, but I hope and wish they could knop that Islam is there to stay

      Thank you Master

    • I heard this news yesterday and I really felt story about our Muslim sisters in France. However, I felt more sorry for our Muslim sisters here in Oman and other Arab countries because they never realize or appreciate the value of Alhijab. Look to our sisters in France they are struggling to wear alhijab while here the girls started to get ride of wearing alhijab thinking by doing so they are civilized. I really feel sorrier for girls who don't want to wear alhijab because I am sure Allah will bless our sisters in France in their struggle to wear alhijab. May Allah Bless all Muslims who are suffering from those people who try to fight and embed Islam.
Thanks The master for sharing is this important topic and I hope that each girl who never wears alhijab can realize the value of it through this topic

    • Before blaming France for this unfair decision we should blame the Islamic countries. Because this decision was first apply in Islamic countries such as Tunisia and Turkey and this is a fact that we can all fell

When I was in preliminary school I had a friend from Tunisia and she was surprised when she knew that she can wear alhijab coz in Tunisia the government have banned it and why do think they did it >>>> for they think that all who wear it are terrorist what do u want us to do if the Islamic countries think in this stupid and silly way

I know it's unfair but if we object who will listen to us.....no one listen to us when billion of massacre were perpetrate in Palestine and Iraq and the only thing we get it from this is more disgrace because of this silence>>>> we scream and scream no one hear our screams

The only thing that I can do is to ask Allah for speed victory and to eradicate all who hears Islam from the earth
    • back again

just to say something more to add it in this topic

We really felt sorry for having this decision aganist muslime girls in France. However, what i found out today while i was talking with French boy who is originally Algerian that Msulimes in France didn't have any reaction towards this dangerous decision
because Muslime women don't wear alhijab there $

We are really feeling sorry and thinking about them but in the end the truth is really difficult and painful |y
    • NOTHING Baron
It is simply to write or just shut up
Five people, in the world, in Asia, in Oman, in Oman Saha, at the English section decided to talk, write about it.....as simple as that

Sometimes, it is enough for others to know that you are there, sitting, thinking, sharing others their agony.....make things easy for them

So, shall we write or, just shut up

    • It is really sad and unfair what is happening France, but why do you think its war against Islam in particular?? secularism is to seperate any form of religon , as Tenderness said, wether its islam , Christianity or Judiasm.
They are declaring war against any expression of religous belief
Which i believe is unfair for any human being not only muslims
Its a shame that a country with a rich history of patriatism and value of freedom such as France, declare a law that reminds us of pre-renaissance laws

Its really ironic that muslims (media and people) are showing great concern in this issue while thier own women are not wearing the Hijab and they dont think its a big deal

I know in Turkey that some of the girls with Hijab who were not allowed to enter schools have chosen to take home-studies because they dont want to take off the Hijab just to go to school
I applaude these females, because this shows how strong thier faith is and that they will not give up what they belive in even for the sake of going to school like thier fellow classmates
Unfortunatley, not all muslim women get such alternative as the
      Turkish girls did
who knows, maybe if these girls didnt get the chance of home-studies, they whould have taken off the Hijab to complete thier education

In the United states, and after the events of the september 11, alot of muslim girls who wear the hijab have taken it off because they were beaten up and insulted by angry americans
I've been told that a Shiekh have given a fatwa that its ok for them to take off the Hijab because its endangering thier lives
I agree with this, and i belive that this should be the case with the girls of France
I know, not going to school is not a life-threatening situation, but for a person who her whole future and well-being depends on getting a good education, it is a long-life decision to make

i agree with u but could you plz tell wt should we do beside writing
      [/B]

      hi there dear brother

for some of us writing could just be enough or it could just be the
only thing we can do. The call was general, one should do what
ever he can, however little or small

In closer countries to France, demonstrations and talks has been held to get the voice or at least its echo to France and its president. One country i know of, is England! People there have marched to the french Embassy in order to protest to this
unacceptable decission by the french government

      Mrs.Unfaithful
      Many thanks for your reply

Your definition of secularism is totally right! However, we
can only see this as being war against Islam deu to its effects. In all other religons, those symbols worn are nothing more or less than just accessories! For example, christians wear the cross and the jews were the kolonswa! However, they only wear them to indicate what is their religon and most of them dont even wear them. On the other hand, In islam, wearing hijab is not a symbol or an indication to a girl being muslim! No, its way far than that. Its an Obligation and not one of those things we can just discard. Women in Islam, wear the hijab, fulfilling part of their religon requirements. There are many reasons why should woman wear the hijab, however, its not the issue being discussed here and am not well qualified to get into such a discussion! Should one need such information, i believe the resources are far from being limited

As for some women in such countries not actually wearing the hijab or even paying any sort of attention to the matter! Well, am
not in a position to defend any one. However, i do know that those dont actually represent all the muslim women and that what matters

To be given the choice is one thing, but to be forced to implement
      it is another

      so let's work with them
      and i'm really sorry
    • , The Master
You are right about the Hijab, we (muslims) know that wearing the Hijab is an obligation on every adult muslim female. For it being an obligation, rather than just an accessory like wearing the cross by the Christians, does not effect the fact that its STILL is a sign of the Islam religion. Being selcular, you dont show any sign of a specific religous belief that would diffrentiate you from the others.

The article that Baron (thankfully) have provided, is ridiculas.
sorry, but i mean the action that the egyptians are taking and want to take are so ridiculas
Do they truely believe that thier nation is so perfect that they have to worry about the muslim french girls with thier Hijab

Banning the Hijab is FRANCE is a desicion made by the FRENCH president and by the majority voting of the FRENCH people
They can have whatever rules they want in thier NON-MUSLIM
      country

Muslims in France who do not like these new laws have dozens of countries to live in, or THEY can solve thier issue in whatever way that satisfies them

Arabs should worry about thier own problems. Cant they see how our arab nation is falling apart with corrupt governments and corrupt rulers and they are worrying about something that is really NON OF THIER BUSINESS??
