      Well, I guess you meant do we work for a living? or do we live to work
      Well, I will answer saying I do both, I work for the money, otherwise do not expect to see me going every morning for nothing, and once I get the money I can manage my life in the financial aspect, the least to say

      Second, I was created on this earth to work

      وقل اعملوا فسيرى الله عملكم ورسوله والمؤمنين صدق الله العظيم

      and allow me, I'm not going to explain the meaning of the word عملوا any further
      I guess I was not created to sit doing nothing, but worship and work

      Thank you my brother for your respond and actually I haven't enough time to discuses, but I'm really very pleasure for your respond.

      About this topic, some of people prefer work to live and other live to work, this morning I talk with one person about this topic and he sew that people who live to work are very stupid and they lose their time with not benefit. I think he is wrong, becouse the living to work often lead to acreative and I think in advances countries there are many people who living to workI don't agree with them but Isuggest the apalance between thier work and their life.

      My time is finish, i wish to see your opinion as soon as Possible.

      Anyway, I guess and I do apologize in advance that the person you talked to is a supid one, if people who work are stupid according to that person, I wonder who is not. People who work just waste time doing so is a new theory to me at least, well like you said he is wrong and I really feel sorry for him

      i know that am quite late for the discussion, but finding the time to be around, just wasn't easy in the past few weeks and even might not be in the few yet to come

      Anyway, i just wanted to join in. The question is quite interesting and quite frankly with-holds different opinions from different people for that matter. For most of us work provides an income and fulfils a variety of other needs; - Mental and physical exercise, social contact and a feeling of self-worth and competence

      it also holds this value of advancement when the job or work that one does provides promotional oppertunities. It also gives a feeling of satisfaction for making a differnce, when you know that the work you do could changes things to the better. We can also find fun in work, that is, if we enjoy what we do and have a good time doing it. Work could also mean a place of creativity and the production of new ideas and methods of doing things

      In the end, it all sums up, to the variety of satisfactions we obtain from work, or the characteristics of a job/workplace that are most important to an individual

      Thanks for the interesting topic and i am always late.
      The fact i have nothing to add for what you guys have written above there.
      The master brought up different needs of work starting from earning money to self satisfaction.The 10derness mentioned about created to work and here i want to focus on.
      Not every work is after money and here comes the value of it. Alot of people they are slaves of thier work and forget about the other responsibilities, others are ready to kill ( those who concern killing is a job).
      In islam i have this simple example....alot of us have mothers who dont work to earn money but bcz its her job to work for us.
      i may not put my point clear but i am sure u got it.

      Well dea thank you for your follo up, and you example fits alright, but as I mentioned the Quran verse, I did say, I was not going , into the meaning of the word work, and I remember asking dear ftoom that whether she meant working for a living

      My intention was this material world we are living
