    • Back to the youth, back to the youth radio. I was listening today, as usual, heading home and listening to this regular live show, it is good really. I am not writing to talk about the programme but to tell you domething I listened to today

      The host was discussing litter and rubish boxes, and so on. She said in Europe thay had this litter box that talks :P , simply says "Thank you" or "Danke" or what so ever once you throw or put in a litter, and that is good, really good

      Well, this is not what I am after. Some one called in and she asked him what he thought about this
      Here comes the explosion, the big joke rather
      He said our telephone boxes do not talk, do you want our litter boxes to do so

      I laughed to death, and too bad I got home by then and had swith off the radio

      Hey Tenderness, mind me cause dammi thgeel shway, but I really didnt get the funny part of the story.. anyway, i see it as something really nice. I havent heard about that, but if we get every machine to talk then where will we be heading??? it's all technology and thats the way i thought of it anyway

      I think the presenter is trying to expose a problem to everyone which is cleanliness, yes Oman is one of the cleanest countries but there are so many stupid people who throw those little in streets when it's couple of feet away. It makes me feel so down to see such behaviour because you are ruining the beautiful image we have in this country

      Do we have to get the pay phone to talk anyway?? having little bins talking encourage people to keep the place clean. Naturally we people feel good when someone says a nice word, or a greeting or a thanks so you will see people rushing to hear that word and make them feel good that they did something right.. we dont even say thanks to our little brothers and sisters when they get us a cup of tea or a glass of water and just trying to let those kids behave well and be polite is a good start. Trust me it's not the technical aspect here but the mental again.. everything we talk about here goes down to the same thing which is mentality..

      yes, you are right, cleanliness was the main topic. She was talking about cleanliness but I did not come here to do the same. I may, or one may do it in a seperate topic

      And for sure they guy did not come up to tell what I see as a joke, but he said something nice after that

      I guess he wanted to make a smile on the listeners faces, and he did make a big laugh on mine and the presnter's. Yes we would like a litter box that thanjs us when we keep our country clean, but to say our telephone boex do not talk let alone a litter box is the funny side as I do see it

      And I believe he meant the telephones are there, but with no tone, dial up tone :P , and it is does not talk, means WE are not able to use it and TALK

      I find it amusing most of the time, specially when driving on long ways..

      On a scale of 1-10, I think I would give it a 6.

      Generally, I think the idea behind it is to try to get the youth more active thinking wise and probably drive them towards discussing issues rather than the huge waste of time they drawn themselves into like playing cards on the sides of the street for God knows who many hours or rooming around city center and the other malls like lost mumies :P

      The duration the prog is run is pretty enough...

      What I don't like is some of the listenners calling in craping about things, obviously they didn't even try to think about... or those who call in to offend and then just hang up!!! $$g

      Since the program is new, suggestions and positive feedback is what it realy needs from the target to improve

      To put together, what am saying is, anything new will have deformation more appearent than perfection in the begining, and then by time with experience and support things get better hopefully..

      but I guess the prog is there to talk free, say what you want, but keep it clean

      Once the show was about "What would you do if you had a million rials???".. a caller said his dream .. He said: I would buy an apartment right above Carfour... so i wont miss on the sales/offers they have :rolleyes: !!!!i


      another time.. the presenter asked a young lady.. name three wild animals in Oman?? the girl said: ummm... the deer... and ummmm... ummm.. the Giraffe :rolleyes: !!!!i


      ok.. enough said.. other than the good songs.. sometimes hearing what the callers have in mind... just makes us laugh to death (in tears sometimes)i

      Well, it is agood chance then to know what our boys and girls have in mind :) , and honestly I heard people answering a quiz and like you said made me laugh to death, cry rather

      One caller, a girl had 3 attempts to tell where was the

      I see it as light entertainment but like you said agin it uncovers many things we are and were not aware of

      I think the presenters are not that bad, and some are better than others, may be it is a new sort of shows to interact with ordinary people over the air where it is free talk and all is possible

      Songs are not bad...........depends on the mood of the director :P , I hope he/she is always in a good mood :rolleyes: , and know that when we are in a bad mood we run to them
