Im glad to hear that have you ever because as you said, not only you really but many people are afraid of taking the responsibility of something, but then once you start doing something, it then becomes a habit and at any point we do not to be responsible and without having to practice that, we would miss out a lot to learn in things related to responsibility
Doing mistakes is the first step to success..

Not everyone is able to be responsible of him/herself especially when it comes to pass through hard phases . Some people just lose hopes and ignore their responsiblities, examinations is a good example for that , some poeple just forget that they have to work and forget their responsiblities

thanks Dr Mazin for your opinion and I appreciate it, but I also believe that we can be responsible towards our own actions. We need to be responsible about what we do and anything that is related to us first so that we can be responisble about others things related to other people around us. Yes, when it comes to hard time we need that support, but we are also responsible to ask for that sort of help and support to be able to get through it without any hitch..
Losing hopes which lead to ignoring responsibilities is one of the reactions of giving up something. Again that goes back to the support provided by someone else. We all know that we have to be responisble, because we stay away from the normal life matters, let's look at it from the simplest ways. We are responsible towards ourselves in making sure that we eat, sleep well and maintain and good state of health. That's in itself is a responsibility of the person to do it. You can get the support from someone such as a mother, father, brother...etc but again this can be done by the person him/her self. You are right that people tend to ignore responsibilities when they lose hope in passing in an exam, they know they are going to fail, why putting a lot of effort then?? they know it is their responsibility to study to pass an exam, but this has to do with laziness I guess
There is a saying says, peace without comes from peace within. I would apply the same concept on being self responsible. If we are responsible towards ourselves and needs, then will know how to be responsible towards other things that involve people in them. However, being responsible is a skill that we all have to improve and know it's tactics so that we become effective and efficient in it
Thanks again for sharing with us your opinion and hope to see you around more often

WELL SAID.. NaWar
To add a point, we should not mix up between "self-responsibility" and "self-blame". Having the illusion that you are the one "responsible" for every single detail, misfortune, or undesired event is self-destructive
sometimes we have to release the idea that "i am responsible for this and that" and admit that it happened because it was meant to happen... and accept it
self-blame is like termites, eating us up without any possible positive difference
waiting for others to tell us how good (or bad) a job we have done may cause that too, cuz not all the times people are there to compliment us ... and not all the time will there response boost our ego as we want -

Thanks for the addition Mrs Unfaithful and yeah you are right in that.. there are things that were meant to happen, but we need then to differntiate between them and between the things that we were responsible for..
Appreciate your comment

Self-Satisfaction, and self-responsibility is a wish, aim, a dream, you name it

Tenderness, I do understand that there other religions and I do accept them as well, but this is you and/or me only. I also understand that this is a forum for arabs and muslims in particular so I see no problem in avoiding that. That doesnt mean Im rejecting it, but for the sake of respecting where I am, I had to do that
She did not like seeing it, and I saw no problem in not showing the cross. It's not a big deal I guess!! Again Im not rejecting other religions because my closest friends are not only muslims and I accept them as they are as well
But thanks for the comment Tenderness and at the end each has his/her own perspective
