Ramadaniat

  • كل عام والجميع بالف خير، اعاده الله علينا جميعا بالخير واليمن والبركات

Fasting is a shield, said Prophet Mohammed PBUH, and he also said, whoever spends the month of Ramadan in complete faith and self-rectification, his previous sins will be forgiven

Ramadan is back, and the opportunity is back again, the opportunity to wash our sins away We pray we witness the next Ramadan with clean hearts and minds

One year has gone since the last Ramadan, and all we know is we are one year older

Ramadan does not mean laziness as some people think and behave like, Ramadan is the time to work harder and we should receive it with joy, and grab this great and free opportunity

We do know a lot about Ramadan, and we still need to know many things about it. We do not want to go into details about Ramadan, our brothers and sisters have given much in others rooms of our Saha in the past few days, but we want to live Ramadan

Ramadaniat is a general talk, how we live Ramadan, how we spend our days and nights, positive and negative behaviors and attitudes during this holy month. Resolutions we make, wishes we pray and hope for

What does Ramadan change in our every day life, and how

Last Ramadan, we, at home, had my late father with us, now he passed away, and this is one thing how Ramadan has changed to us at home, the least to say

Tomorrow is my first day of fasting, I am excited but at the same time, thinking about it, how is it going to be like be? Getting up in the morning and just go to work, without having, say, a coffee? I will tell you tomorrow, inshallah

    كل عام وأنتم بخير

    Tenderness
  • Thanks Tenderness for Starting Ramadaniat and Ramadan Kareem to all of you and All muslims inshallah..

I am really sorry about your father because I really know how this feeling is. May Allah grant the soul of all our dears how passed away and left us the life empty without their presence. But that is life and we have to keep going on it..

This Ramadan is going to be different in my house because our dear father is not at home. We are really all missing him because he is the candle that lights our lives. I will really miss his voice and his singing to us in order to encourage us and let us wake up to eat S7oor at 4:30 am. I will really miss all his noise to wake up. So, I really think that this Ramadan will be difficult for us without him. I hope Allah will protect him and return him for us safely and I know that it will be very hard for him to have Ramadan away from us.

So, I will tell you tomorrow inshallah how is my first day of Ramadan and how is my young brother going to fast his first Ramadan.

Ramadan kareem to all of you and have a good S7oor 

  • Thanks Tenderness to giving everyone the opportunity to drop few lines about their lives during this month. Surely every Ramadan is different than the previous one and to me there is always something different every year which I really like

This Ramadan, there are so many things and mixed feelings about it.. very happy and sad at the same time. This is the year that I decided to live alone in a house without having anyone but me only for purposes related to uni work and although it is comfortable and far away from getting any noise or desturb it is different because it's the first time Im doing it. This Ramadan will be my last Ramadan in Australia, for the past 4 years, I have always spend Ramadan here and there was so much about this land that I can't forget. I have also met 3 new people here, 2 algerian sisters and a lady from Yemen and insha'a Allah we will meet during Ramadan. The two sisters gave me a feeling that Im part of their family and I felt that they are part of mine as well although it was just the first time we met

This Ramadan will be so much busy because the first two weeks I will spending it in working on my project for an organisation and I will be submitting by the end of these two weeks, actually it's less than two weeks. The other two weeks will be relaxing and hopefully it will give me more time to do my duty towards God. The interesting thing is even my non-muslim friends greeted me and it also gave me a good feeling about it, but how hard to remember all these things later?!! we start fasting here at 3.42am and this is because we are starting summer where the day time is longer. Being in Australia means that the weather and seasons are all the opposite. When it is winter in Oman, the summer starts here so this Ramadan is going to be very hot.

I feel sorry for the students here because it will be hectic for them to fast and study and do their final exams. Allah ye3eenhum!! But insha'a Allah they will be rewarded for their patience. Today I woke up and prayed and straight away sat in front of my computer checking emails, the sa7ah and work on my project. I will be busy today, but I was just thinking, should I break my fast alone or should I go to someone else's place and share the first day with them?! I havent decided yet

This Ramadan I will have to fast some days alone which is weird because normally no one would do that.. I have an online journal where I write every detail or what I do on a daily basis. I had one before this one, but the new one is a good start for me.. You can check out my journal from my profile.. anyway I hope I get time to worship and guys do wish me success because Im in the middle of a very hard time.. da3watkum

Hope you all have a nice day on your first day of Ramadan.. and yeah by the way, we also started Ramadan on Saturday
  • Finally Ramadan is here

On Wednesday i went off to have a last celebration before Ramadan. A trip to my favorate Bakery. I didnt have anything in mind, a bun, a cookie or even just a little biscuit. But let me tell you, i fell for a Cake
    IRRESISTABLE
they never made those in this bakery... thats why i was almost certain i wont be in this situation as i walked in
I havent had any of those in almost 2 years. Falling for it would be a smash. I had to argue with my conscience. I tried to shut it up. i really wanted to have that Cake..ALL of it. " I'll be fasting.. i'll be good for a month .. just this cake for once .. !!!!" . But no matter how i tried ... my conscience was surprisingly strong. And as i reached the door to walk out, I ran back to lay one last look at this incredibally tempting seen. And i did manage to walk out without even having a little slice.

Though i felt some pain... i secretly feel proud that i managed to prepare for Ramadan in the right way.
    Good excercise for strong will.

First Day of Ramadan, first morning without my coffee.

And a whole month ahead to forget the evil cake!!!!!I

  • Thank you all

    Mrs.Unfaithful

A very lovely first day of Ramadan, though felt cold a little. I do not know but I am sure all of you never felt there is something missing. This is the piece of mind Ramadan gives it to us once entering. Never felt I needed that cup of coffee, well I believe I mean I never needed is desperately or so badly. The feeling inside of me was enough I stop thinking about it and only awaiting the pray time

You all were in mind, my mind, thinking how you were doing, wondering how the people down under are doing, and whether they have already had their Iftar, and wondering about those to our far left in the states, still falling a sleep, thinking about those up there to the left in England and Spain how they are still in their early ours of fasting

Ramadan is so beautiful, and soon we will be having it in hot weather, where it name is originally derived from, scorching heat, and I guess we are going to have more challenge then
To tell you the truth I do not mind seeing people eating or drinking around me, no matter how thirsty or angry I am, I feel I resist more and I attain self control, which is one of Ramadan targets
Nice to hear this Scream and sure it is going to be better ramadan with all the family around but what can we do, this is life and we need to work hard and stay from home sometimes for the sake of the family
I believe young kids should start Salat at the age of 7 and Sawm as well, I am not really sure, may you tell us and tell us about your young brother and how is he managing

I believe Ramadan is greather, I mean the atmosphere of Ramadan is greater with so many people around you, and I suggest eL3aJoOoZ_NaWaR gets along with friends around and make it such a perfect Ramadan

Thirty days and we are back to our morning coffee and pan cakes Mrs. and just resisiting them now is the challange of ramadan and things we do to come closer to Almighty Allah
Thank you all and Ramadan and Ramadaniat is still going on
    :)
  • كل عام والجميع بخير

    Good idea brother

Talking about Ramadan never end. This Ramadan will be quite different for we have a new member$$e in the family

But the loveliest thing that I like in this great month is the accumulation of the whole family. We use to accumulate outside waiting for the Athan. We sit and read Quarn. And for Eftaar we just drink Laban with deat.

Yeah of course …. I didn't forget my favorite habit walking after dinner.

There are a lot of habits which vanish now and I think that these habits are good for affinity. For example when neighbors exchange food between them, this habit has evaporated now. I remember when I was 10 years old when we took Ramadan food to neighbors around. It's not testing the food but this habit makes the relationship with other Moslems stronger. When they realize that we remember them and this is what Ramadan for.

I'll be back it's dinner time

    See ya later

  • Thank you
    انسة قنبلة
Would like to comgratulate you on the new comer, the new baby, Allah bless him/her

Yes dear, family gathering looks the main thing we all talked about, and how it is important to us and us in Ramadan
Yes again, losing ties with others, neighbours and relative is annoying thing and like you said it is disapperaing with every Ramadan, this is sad, sad it is dying instead of becoming more live and stronger
I guess you are following a good way in dealing with ramadan and your diet, Ramadan is a way to reserve and conserve our health
    صوموا تصحوا
It is a cure to many accumlating upsets of the body and stomach in particular and knowing the right way how to fast and how break the fasting is a very important issue

It will be nice should we hear how can we deal with fasting in the right and healthy way
    :)

  • I believe Ramadan is greather, I mean the atmosphere of Ramadan is greater with so many people around you, and I suggest eL3aJoOoZ_NaWaR gets along with friends around and make it such a perfect Ramadan

Honestly, I don't see it a big deal to be with so many people. I prefer to be two or three of my friends only and that's it. It's not only about many people, but sometimes you do enjoy the break of fast alone away from the different way ot breaking the fast. It is really hard to experience such thing alone, but it makes me think a lot about loneliness itself. When being around people, too much time spent on breaking the fast, when Im alone, I don't take more than 10 minutes and this is after praying of course. Then you stick around to talk and maybe discuss stuff and it would take a lot of time and I really do not want to do that because my time is very dear to me

But as the first day, I was intending to spend it alone, when one of my friends called up and asked me to come over, I fixed something simple and went to her place. I stayed there from 5.30 til 10.30 and I just felt so bad because I was supposed to go home by 7.30 and get back to my work, but I enjoyed it alhamdulillah. Today im going to break my fast alone insha'a Allah.. I hope you all had a good day and mine was wonderful, no hitch at all
  • To tell you the truth I do not mind, on the contrary I like to have Iftar once or twice alone, and it is not odd at all eL3aJoOoZ_NaWaR. I guess your Iftar in this case would be very simple, and again this is a positive thing to look at

Enjoy it eL3aJoOoZ_NaWaR , as it will be you last ramadan away from home and family as you said it before and I am sure you will miss being alone sometimes in Ramadan, one day or few minutes the least to say

  • Tenderness كتب:

Sure Tenderness I will miss those times, but I can't enjoy it with anyone else as much as I do with my family. Today I thought that I won't have Iftar with anyone, but I did go to my friend's place again and had Iftar with her. Her kids were just jumping around and I tried to make them quiet because their mother seemed to be angry lol I dont like angry people

I was stuck at her place for 5 hours because it was raining so heavily down here and the reason I went is I felt so much that I need to be with someone. Her kids would keep you engaged with them as long as you are at their house.. lol so adorable

There is someone I couldnt get a chance to ask about him, but dont knw what he is doing. I need to make much more use of my time. It's midnight now, and I stayed up til this time to work on my project, we will be having a demonstration tomorrow. I will also be busy with the Mentor Program at uni and it will be a long day from 8.30am til 3.30pm, hope it wont be hot though. I will have to meet my client regarding the project straight after that, then I will have to meet my eBusiness team because we are working on another project for a business and I haven't done the practical side of it, just the theoritical side. I also have a research paper to finish in a week about Internet Consumer Retailing and it involves: Online Advertising, CRM and e-tailing.. phew!! what a day

Can anyone give me a hand in that? :P Please
  • :)
    what a busy Ramadan eL3aJoOoZ_NaWaR
May Allah help you and you do well and finish all this lot
In fact you made it earlier than I expected to talk about something in mind, and this is will it be permissible or allowed for busy people to not fast? I heard and seen some families would let them kids not fast once they have exams or something decisive

Do you support this idea? or it is just not right and should not be practised

Funny I feel cold at work, may be I am in lacking energy, and the good thing about my job is I can, and did take some of my work and just go outside to get warm, the air conditioning inside is killing me
I was talkinmg just few minutes ago to a friend, uni lecturer and told me the same, the girls and boys are feeling cold in the lecture hall and could not carry on but to call the AC technician and do something about it

let hear what do you think and why do we have this feeling
    :)
  • True, tenderness. There are some people who do not fast if they were under alot of stress and /or pressure .. work related that is. I dont know if that is wrong or right... i guess it depends on the person's ability. If they think they could fast without risking thier health or thier work-performance, then they should. and vice versa.

NaWar, allah y3eenich!!!. God, ramadan during studies.. and away from home and family is terrible. Sentimatally i mean. No flexibility in work, day is too long, and no Athan .. And none of the people around you is living the true atmosphere of Ramadan as we do here at home.

I remember sometimes a couple of days of ramadan will pass i dont even know that it started $$-e . and i'll have classes during fast-breaking time. Having to break your fast with chips or candy didnt feel good!!!i
  • كل عام وأنتم بألف خير

    Ramadan Kareem

    Dear brother

    Tenderness

Thanks for starting Ramadaniat and gave as a chance to talk about our Ramadan

Ramadan can bring challenges of its own

my self i feel very happy and Relax in Ramadan

Specially fasting It helps one to feel compassion for those who are less fortunate and

underprivileged, since each day Muslims feel greater appreciation for what they have as a

result of feeling hunger and thirst

    Ramadan and my work

i feel i get more Energy in Ramadan i can give more to my students

yes its ture i feel the students are cold and they are yawning every time

but in my own way i will make them feel that Ramadan is just like any day

then when i see them Participating really i feel very happy

at last i can say Ramadan is the best month to clean our hearts and forgives

    every one

so forgive me all of you if one day i did something

    Specially Mrs.Unfaithful

    and Iam sorry

    yours sister

    Ranamoon
  • RaNaMoOn, thank you and all you mentioned is correct. The month of challanges is back, the unique challanges that we as muslim always win, win when we do nothing but knowing what Ramadan is
Prophet Mohammed said, if my people know the value of Ramadan, the will wish the whole year is Ramadan

I wish, I know we all love Ramadan and we do every effort to win Ramadan, but and this is a fact, we are human beings, and we do mistakes, I hope we learn from our mistakes and manage to beat the evil part inside us and stay clean as much as we can

Like you said dear, when we feel hungry in Ramadan and take this chance to remember those who are hungry most of the time give us and let us know another great value of this holly month

I know how busy you are are RaNaMoOn, and seeing you here with us all is a great gesture
Thank you dear once again and hope to see you more and more and let us learn from you more values og the great Ramadan in Ramadaniat
    :)

I definitely do not support that idea at all.. because I do believe that a person can do anything under any condition even if it was extreme, we sometimes do not have to push ourselves but thinking about the outcome is encouraging us to do what we are doing.. for example, if you have a busy long day like mine, you will probably forget to have breakfast and lunch.. does it make any difference if you fast? of course not, except that you will feel tired, and I see it from the same point. I'd rather fast and do my daily activities instead to get the rewards

perhaps the lack of energy that caused the cold feeling and perhaps also it's the mercy of God to make you feel cold on such a day. Dont also forget that winter is very soon as well.. I dont really have a certain answer for that unfortunately

    Healthy food in Ramadan

As a usual habit Arab people deal with this holy month as a month that force them to create different kind of food

U can see kind of dishes u never ever seen or test and women contest on that

However many of them started to realize that this habit is not that healthy

Dates and Laban is enough for Eftar and then they can eat any simple thing

Beside food there is another bad habit which is TV program

I don't mean that I don't watch tv in all Ramadn $$-e but my point is that some people #h spend their time watching TV forgetting that this month is only for Allah worship

This is all what I have today

You are right, and believe it or not, I have never asked for anything special in Ramadan, that is to eat. Food is not our concern at home, still I see some extra stuff at the table, and that is SOUP, and it is not bad

As I said it in one of the topics in the general saha, it is not the TV to blame, it is who sits most of the time watching TV, once again and I swear I do not watch anything in particular on TV

If you are a TV owner, and you have to keep it running 24 hours a day then you just do it, and it is all for others to watch you or not, once again it is us to blame

Take any body's normal day and night hours, till 3 pm at work or school, have some sleep , iftar time, taraweeh prayers, sitting with family and friends for Ramadaniat :P , doing home work, internet, time to sleep
I wonder those sticking to TV, I guess they have nothing to do, and they are to blame
    :)

Yesterday my grandparents were telling us how they used to live ramadan when they were kids.... Of course no TV, no late night hours at the "Ramadan Tents" and no commercial competitions all over... and they say that it was a much sweeter ramadans than now.. there was a warmth and pureness in the spirit of it that is missing now.. They say
We were watching ('3a9at el 7aneen ) and it felt so nice and real to know that this is how they used to live someday..

True, miss bomb, this is the fact of how ramadan is today
Its a Big Frenzy .. kinda like a festival or something..
But as Tenderness mentioned, its up to *Us* to follow the mania or to dedicate ourselves to worship and such
or to try to balance between the two.. which is totaly possible

Speaking of TV, i think this year "The road to Kabul" on MBC is worth watching

You are totally right, I am also watching this series and it is full of interesting and exciting actions. I really felt sad when the brother was killed inside his brother's house by A muslim guy because of Money problem $

But everything is possible when it comes to Money.

I heard it was banned or stopped at some TV stations

Once again, thanks Mrs. for bringing up Ramadan ayyam zaman, I love to hear about it, whoever can tell us please do
    :)

My uncle told me about that today and i was really shocked. Do you think MBC will also stop the show for i heard that the MBC has just 8 series

So what do you think about this, if anyone has more information about this, please tell us?!!1\

Thanks Scream for your concerns, but dont worry about me, I enjoy it this way much more than any other time because I keep myself busy and everything else in this world is worthless.. when it comes to food, since Ramadan started, I never had the proper Iftar I used to have in Oman and that tells me so much about the real meaning of the month. I honestly do my prayers and do the light stuff since Im under the pressure of workload from uni and it is just hard to get enough sleep as I work 3ala 6ooL except for the break I take to pray

If you want to experience the real Ramadan, try to live it alone even if you are surrounded with your family. I understand that you will be with them, but you dont have to do what they are doing.. do it your way this time and experience it the way you want.. it will make you feel different about it

    Thanks again

Correct Mrs. Unfauthful, it is too bad
Too bad spending all that money and no one enjoys it
Too bad when intelectuall oppression is closing up
Too bad when they want to hide and cover a history most of us lived, heard of and read about

It is not the first time it is happening, last year we had the same story with this egyptian series "Faris Bela Jawad" and all this fuss about it, and I believe only 1 or 2 TV stations showed it

Anyway, do not expect much with this Kabul stuff, but whoever banned it might have done so on some personals, I have no idea
it only talks about Aphganistan during the russian invasion up to date, and I guess you know the rest and the whole story
