      I’m always asking myself this question


      Why males from my country (I’ll talk about UAE) married from un-local females?

      I know that you will say marry from other countries lets take for example: India is cost less money.


      Without doubt there are many families that request from men a very expensive dower! But believe me not all…there are also some parents don’t ask the men to pay a lot for their daughter (some families ask the husband to bring Holy Quraan as a dower) see it’s so simple, the young men have to try

      And that’s because they just want a good man who protects, takes care of her and provide a happy marriage-life

      But in fact the government of the UAE gives the male 70, 000 Dirham+ a house+ a farm to whom want to marry just from a local lady

      What they want more?????

      In fact, the girls used to cover and hide her-self, and then the young men marry ladies from other countries…

      I looked for many statistical studies that illustrate the number of female who are not married yet which more that the percentage of male in certain age groups …..It’s terrible and a big issue

      Nothing really but not to givve them a thing and just get them working and earn living like most young people in the world
      If what you say is true, do you expect some one getting all this would settle and not ask for more? Do you think who gets all that would bother to care for a woman, his woman? do you think he has the courage to face his woman and her family once he is broke and reckless? I am sure he would just evade all responsibilities and run away, looking for a woman where he can marry and abandon easily
      Simply because he is reckless

      Marrying from another country or community is not wrong and not a sin at all, but has its own reasons

      Well, I do not know if to blame our girls, not proving to be the ones to sacrifice for and live and die for. No doubt they have their own mistakes and would push men to do crazy things

      It looks we both men and women lack education, education of the meaning of marriage and family, I do not really know

    • I hear that those days men marry from other countries because they are "cheaper". But I agree with you 6ebah that this is not really true, because there are so many local women who dont ask for much except being with someone who would respect her and raise a family with her and live happily

      Most see non-local women as Prettier.. Much prettier than locals. They also see them as less demanding, which is mostly true unfortunately. In addition, they are independent of thier families most of the time, which means less headache for the man .... no in-laws.. as he sees it

      and so many other lame reasons....
      But to be fair, so many local women are marrying non-local men!!! maybe not as common .. but its spreading more and more
      We have to be fair in considering the issue for both men and women

      Women and men are not educated enough so that they don’t know the real meaning of marriage, which leads to increase the percentage of divorce yearly among young couples

      mmmmm yeah, its common but there is a reason behind this fact…I think it is happening when the lady become older because she waste her life in waiting for a local man..so she marry un-local person better than being single to the rest of her life

      It all depends on the genes of the person, the life style, the type of skin and the climate they live in .... its not an issue of whites and non-white

      besides, a man who marries a woman just becasue she is blonde with blue eyes, wouldnt be insightful enough to be worried about how she will look like when she is 40 or 50!!i

      Aaaaaanyyy ways
      few days ago marraige discussion came up between me and my mom. A friend of mine married a british guy and they both live in Europe for a couple of years now. Since then, my mother always has to bring the issue up of how disgusted she is by my freind's choice. "Why?" i asked her. "Well, he is european!! isnt that disgusting enough??" ... "why!!?" i asked again. She answered, "he is a stranger, and she never knows what his family history is... or even how he came to this world "(she means he may be illegitimate)i
      She added then,"and besides .... he doesnt look that masculine!!"...ooo

      The girl is happily married.... and her husband is treating her like a queen.. i have never seen her happier than she is since she married this guy.... isnt that enough for her family to be happy for her???s

      Her family's opinion is like my mom's. And they have never accepted her or her marriage for years now
      They have never been happy for her.. in fact they have been angry and disgusted too


      When it comes to marrying someone... wether they are local or non-local.. what does really matters... the person's happiness even if it meant going against the norms??? or following the norms even if they meant the person's misery???s

      I came to believe that the whole issue is a personal decision.. it has nothing to do with society, education or globalization. Its just a personal choice for personal life!!!!!i

    • may you are true , i dont know nothing about your customs, in my country , Iraq, the women dowry is cheap. the money isnot the problem , founding men is the problem because since 1980 every day men are to be killed in war and battles, that is why geeting young men is so difficlut. we tried to lessen this issue by making facilities gotten form islamic foundations and almzgiving from well to do families.
      the matter of marriage should be to get married honestly and keep far from mistake.

      But you never told us what was the nationality of your friend or her relegion. Do not tell me it did not matter, it does, does a lot

      I guess some of you met british guys for example married to phillipenes women, and all tell me they now feel that they are married and have a house wife and a real woman, well
      This could be the reason she should be not only his queen but more that that

      The same applies for many european girls, they would die to marry a real moslem eastern man, they feel the same, they are marrying a real man, family man

      A sad thing is happening now-a-days…regarding marriages is getting married to foreigner. The main reason is not the citizen’s ladies are expensive and foreigners are cheep. There are more than one reasons and to be honest with you I was supporting the idea being married from foreigner but not any more after I have learn the consequence of this marriage
      Is it because foreigners’ ladies are more prettiness? Definitely there are national ladies who are so gorgeousness
      Let’s go bake to golden days to our grandfather’s days, had they got married from foreigner’s ladies? The answer may be 5% of them not all and that for realistic reasons such as they have been living outside the country and they have stalled down in that country so they got married from that country. There are realistic reasone to married from foreigners’ ladies nonetheless it is not more applicable for those days
      Back to our main issue the main reasons for the citizen’s man get married form foreigners’ ladies as follows
      Lack of education, I do not mean holding degree or master. I mean education about the life Most of the young people following their hearts than their brain in the life path without looking to the corollary
      Lack of Sexual education, especially for ladies. Most males are talking among them self about how foreigners’ ladies are so sexual. I am not asking ladies to be half naked in the street or at work. This advice is for ladies who are already married. Learn how to satisfy you husband in bed. Because if you do not learn, he is going to talk to his friends how citizen’s ladies are not so sexual especially if your husband has unfair relation with other foreigners’ ladies before marriage. Those friends will not be looking to get married from citizen’s ladies because of that impression
      Influence of TV and more travel, most of the young man watching TV and find how foreigners’ ladies so attractive by being half naked in the TV. So the next catastrophe will be traveling outside the country looking for the pleasure. Just imagine a young man travel outside the country for pleasure and he has not been test the pleasure before. So he will said this what I am looking for and if I am going to get married I will get married form this country. That’s wrong concept
      My final advice to my brothers is that marriage had a divine quality—a couple came together out of respect, with the aim of creating a kind of totality. That gave meaning to getting married, and marriages made with such purpose became good ones. Marriage is not sexual pleasure. So let’s change our mental attitude

      A person's heart doesnt necessarily lead to a foriegner. Sure a young person may be vulnerable and easily tempted to make wrong choices.. but this may be the case for most the issues.. not really a logical explanation for why arab men marry foriegn women

      this is a plain stereo type!!!!!i did they conduct a survey on every single non-arab woman and every single arab woman to have such a conclusion??? what determines such thing has absolutely nothing to do with her ethnic background... but it does have to do with the culture and society she lives in... and with her life experiences
      I am not saying you are wrong.. no.. but men who would think this way are ignorant ... and dont deserve to carry the responsibility of a wife and a family .. just the concept of marrying someone based on thier sexuality is very very shallow and such marriage would'nt be healthy and happy and probably wont last long

      Besides, Islam has never been against marrying from a woman regardless of her religion though put some regulations or taboos rather for a woman to do so and this is for a very well known reasons and Iam sure all are aware of and convinced

      I do not think it is the majority here, minority rather who are doing it for some reasons as we already mentioned and speculated
      As long as we are tAlking in general and I mean Arabs and moslems, residence and visa matters are one major issue cause and reason

      Listen to them carefully and ask them how they have figure out that reason or the cause?
