Good afternoon dear brothers and sisters. Today I am having a topic which might be strange for some of you. One of the questions that we keep asking ourselves is that is there a relation between Arabic and English and if so, what kind of relation? is is negative or positive relation
Generally speaking, Chomsky for a long time has been talking about something called Universal grammars UG. He defines UG as the grammars that can be found in all languages around the world. For example, most of the languages around the world have subjects, verbs and complements. The difference is in the order of these grammatical items. Now, what is important is the relation between two languages
From a long time, it has been proven that a good writer in Arabic likely will be a good writer in English. Moreover, a good speaker in Arabic, will be a good speaker in English. This theory has been clarified by Chomsky (threshold hypothesis ) Now, we have a question which is really important which is what language should come first?
Some psychologists keep talking about the ability that the child has by which he can learn more than one language in his childhood
It is right, but it has been proven that learning two language in one time may cause a lose for one of the two
let's have a discussion about it please
Thanks
