Ramadaniat

  • Yes Mrs.Unfaithful and Honest, Shaikh Zayed was a great man, and when you think about it, we all will die one day, sooner or later, and like ALLAH said when we die we take nothing with us but our good work and worship, and the prayers of those who still a live
So let us pray for him

Muslims used to spend six months feeling sad Ramadan has gone, and six months awaiting the coming Ramadan, I hope we did what was good for us in Ramadan and took the chance to wash out our sins and once again learn the lesson again

I believe we start what to have to eat on EID #i , but listen to me, make it simple and light, as we would be broke before we get the next salary as whtever the case it will not be before 20th of DEC :( , so save some for the black coming days #i and before that do not forget the ZAKAT AL-FITR if you have not already done it, try to do it before EID so whoever gets it have some money for EID expenses
  • Tenderness كتب:

One night, and in our Ramadaniat a friend warned me that I should take care that no body hacks my computer, I smiled and said, I wish they did it, there is nothing I hide and there are only some photos I wish all could see it
Picturs of me posing, as usual $$-e :P #i , with some well known figures :P , though I have no idea about this hacking game and cannot play 007 games in any way handing things in a very complicated methods and procedures. I would rather not see anything and it only costs me to go to the movies and see productions that cost millions for only 2 omani Rials, ya balash

The EID is coming soon, which means Ramadan is coming to its end, the markets are already full, and this is not bad at all. Some are there to make others happy, some are finding it an opportunity to renew few things, and buy few things they waited long enough for

I heard the public sector salaries will be out on NOV 8th so people get salaries by the 9th or 10th, and this not bad once again
I know some will suffer after Eid, but after all I hope all can manage well

I usually feel sad and had this strange feeling on the first day of eid and on the time for the maghreb prayer, this is the moment I realize that Ramadan has ended, and wonder whether I shall live to witness the next Ramadan

Yesterday, I was having iftar again :P with this omani family and we were talking plans for eid, then we talked about how ramadan has passed so quickly wishing that it will be the last ramadan to spend it in Australia

Allah y6awel 3omrna fe 6a3at and stay longer for next ramadan and make it up for this ramadan insha'a Allah

Of course I know how to cook now, as I said im not a big fan of it because I cook to live and don't expect me to cook forever because I also get tired of doing the same thing again and again.. i think they should change that rule of the way to the man's heart is his stomach, it should be his eyes these days :P

Dont worry, I'd still impress you if I cook #j

  • Today, oh do not remind me again. Today I was sitting with some friends talking Ramadaniat, and few people joined in later and I spent few minutes introducing the new comers, then went on talking again

One of my best friends got on with one of the new comers and started gigling, it looked strange to me
I could not wait, and said hey you two, what is going on, my best friend laughed and said he is laughing how I intoduced him to his cousin

I did not what to say, I should have known as both carry the same family name, my face was so red and
    I felt SMALL
    and

    it was a terrible momments

    ooooooooo do not remind me

I guess I go for some home made sambosa, the right thing for me
    :)

  • Haha,, thats a funny one.. I never do that, but I always keep on introducing people to each other even if i did that before and I keep on forgetting.. Im too old to have a good memory you know :P

Today was the big packing up day, I had to empty my house for all the stuff that I dont need and wash and clean everything.. As soon as I finish everyth, I'll get on the first flight and come back home

Today one of the girls was asking me about the university I registered for my postgrad and she was really interested in it because it offers distance learning mode. This university is one of the best e-universities that eases the education of students. It offers both undergrad and postgrad programs unless it is a program where there are practical sessions in this case, the student will have to travel all the way to Australia.. but it is very good in terms of personalisation and learning methodologies and they have very helpful assessor. Basically any student can enroll into this university and all they have to do is submit their results and thats it. Lectures notes and course materials are given online which means you dont have to attend classes and I prefer it this way because I see it waste of time to attend classes and Im better at understanding stuff on my own unless I couldnt understand something which again means that I can email the assessor and he/she can reply instantly

Today is very hot, I went with a friend of mine to the hospital because of her kids had an appointment and I had to take care of her other kids. They are cute but so hyper-active. Allah y3eenha!! We were talking about going back to Oman and how much we will miss each other because she still has another year to go before she leaves Australia

By the way, what's happening in Oman about the new companies of telecommunications? Can anyone update me? I need to get a mobile service and when I checked the omantel website, there were heaps of services that got me confused. All I need is a mobile that I can send and recieve calls with montly subscription fee and allows me to send messages as well, perhaps with a voice mail feature. Which service will best suite my needs? :P

    Cheers
  • Tenderness كتب:

We wish tou a safe trip home

Well, we have so many mobile companies competing for the benefit of us, the customers and the decision is very difficult

I believe you have to settle for oman mobile as it has the best offer and above that all it is the only and lone comapny we have
    :P

Thanks Tenderness... is OmanMobile the same as Omantel?? cause I really got confused with the so many services I found

    But thanks heaps

Thanks Honest.. make sure it's hot when I get it.. I love eating it when it is hot.. yummie :D

  • OK today I wanted to mention some issues regarding the series of Ramadan.. one in particular is "Denya Elguwee", why I chose this one because I saw few episods here in Australia and I found it quite interesting, but I did not stop here only.. but I went on the internet and searched for it and see what others got to say about it.. surprisngly, there were three groups of people, those who agreed, disagreed and agreed but disagreed about some stuff

Now, I found it surprising because to me it was very interesting to get those sort of problems out to the public, because we always heard about them, without seeing them, but those who disagreed kept on saying that it shows problems without solutions.. there was dancing and mujoon.. now, i understand that there are things getting out of control and going beyond limits, but isn't that the reality of whats happening in the societies of the arab gulf area?? The beating, the rape, the dancing, the immoral behaviors, they all exist so why denying it or why refusing to showing it on public

Some people said that they have disallowed the girls from watching it or the young teenagers so that they dont get influenced.. influenced by what?? being bad? aren't they supposed to be exposed to such problems so they learn from others mistakes??? They might have gone too far in displaying the situation, but it is true.. Talking about problems and solutions, do they really have to explain a solution?? There are millions of ways of resolving problems and the first thing is avoiding them before they happen but the series are not but just an extreme level of problems that exist.. solutions are up to the people, and I think what the writer wanted to do is show the people how cruel people can be and how bad muslims became.. we do not have to do what they did but at least to pinch them and tell them see what could happen if you do such a thing

I dont know what you guys think, but I think we should not take those series as a disadvantage. We can learn from everything, we can learn from the good and bad things, but we do not necessarily have to do what they did.. life is a school to learn from and to fight it to live

    Cheers
  • I do not really know what series you are referring to, but if it was the kuwaiti one I remember seeing a little of it
Anyway, this is not new thing to me, I remember many years back I had this newspaper at home, one of the so called yellow ones, and a relative who is a teacher was reading a topic and was in a hurry to read more, I said no problem, you could take it home
He saod NO, I do not want my daughters and sons to see it, I said WOW, why not? he replied saying it talked about things, crimes, habbits and stuff he wished them not to know about

I told him how would your daughter know that doing so and so would result in so and so? how would you son learn some deadly stuff going around and be precautined about them? We did not get to agree
    no problem

I believe if I do not learn that taking a headache tablet from say, a friend could lead me to addict drugs should the tablet was not an asoirin or so

I believe all negatives things in our life should be exposed but in a descent manner as not to get to some exotic point and in a way that respects all members of the family
We, at school learnt how sex life goes on, but we never looked at as exotics but some thing useful we all should know and I guess you all know what I mean

One more thing, it is 2004 and to bad to think that our kids know as much as we do about every thing, I repeat, every thing...you name it, the know it
    :)

Tenderness, if you go back to what I have wrote, then you will see that I did mention the name of the series "Denya Elguwee" From what I understood of your story, Im totally against it. I do believe that even kids should be aware of such things.. why are they so worried about their kids if they are eventually going to know about it some day.. All he did is trying to avoid those kids to know about such stuff without thinking about what if they read it??? I remember reading about crimes, politics and so many things at a very young age, I remember when I was in grade 3 I saw this huge massive book about armies in different countries at a time when Russia was a bigger country and then I went I asked dad about what has happened. My mom also told us about many bad things and about many crimes and different people, good and bad since we were kids to be aware of it.. I see no problem with it because I dont wanna go out there among people looking so silly and knowing nothing.. if people like goodie goodie person just because he/she doesnt know these stuff, then Im sorry to call them dumb.. because this is what really matters, LIFE!!! They cant go on learning from books about different problems happening around us, plus what happened 30 years ago is not happening now because people are different, but many new problems came up.. the coming new generation will be so aware of many things because look around us whats happening.. it is a good chance for them to learn what is good and what is because they can see it with their own eyes

However, I think parents get involved in this learning process to keep an eye of their kids and know that they are learning the right thing.. there is nothing to be shy off when telling a kid about certain things adults only should know, but we do not also have to explain it very clearly and we can just stick to simple explaination until they grow up

When I became more independant, I already knew so many things that I didnt have my parents to worry about me or even think of how Im going to do.. I was already trained well but because they are my parents, they will be worried that i might do a mistake.. which is really normal.. We cant stop our kids from doing mistakes, but we can give them a chance to learn by directing them when they are exposed to a certain problem

    Cheers

Yeh... Denya el Guwee may be too dramatic in displaying the events .. but its all from facts of our societies after all. Its a series, not a documentary or a lecture.. it has to have some flavour to it.. as long as it gets the message to the people. They writer didnt make up a disfunctional family and corrupt souls and show people just for the fun of it. Its kind of a wake up call for parents and big brothers to watch out.. because sometimes they could get hurt by thier own flesh and blood.. not by others

Those who think this series i obsene.. are naymeen fil 3asal. Thier kids watch MUCH worse things in Internet and through mobile phones.. and the parents think that Denya el guwee is obsene??s
You see, those mentalities that are disconnected from the world around them.. if they didnt watch denya el guwee.. well.. they could research around and see for thier eyes that maybe whats happening in the next door house is way beyond that

Fajer el sa3eed is one of the most intellectual writers and most respected, and she is one of the best around. This year, she maybe went one step further in exploiting not-so-well-accepted scenes and events, to get the message to people.. the Honey sleepers

  • I know you said
    دنيا القوي
and I knew it fom the first time, but as I said I do not see much and this kuwaiti series I have seen never known its name or title as I just watch minutes only
    anyway no problem

If you are not sad for the death of Arafat then I congratulate you, you are perfect and normal :) , as you do not have to be sad, and Allah Yerhamo is enough but let me ask why you were not sad, let us hear from you

hahahaha Mrs.Unfaithful, I liked the expression, naymeen Fi Al-Asal, it really applies very much in our societies

Thats exactly what I wanted to say.. they are avoiding realities when there are much more worse things for the kids to watch.. not only that, but they can see the worst things in their own home, i.e. parents fighting.. this is enough to corrupt the kids and have them turning into bad people, the carelessness of parents can also lead kids to become corrupted, force them to do crimes..etc

I dont know anything about arabic (5aleeji) series or any of the writers and i know this <> much only but I also believe that even with the scenes that went a little bit beyond what was expected, it still displayed an image or a side of some people in the society. I believe the writer did not generalise or intend to show the people that the kuwaiti society is rich with corrupt and bad people but she just mentioned about a certain group of people in this society since probably she is living there or one of the kuwaitis.. is she kuwaiti by the way? :P I reckon she is

Yeah, naymeen fil 3asal, indeed they are.. and those people who are watching the series and complaining, just dont watch it or at least take from it what is useful for you at least and leave everything behind.. I dont understand why people deny these facts although they know it is true, yet there is a large number of people who have no clue about whats going on in the society and do need to know about such issues TO LEARN

Thanks heaps for your reply Mrs Unfaithful, and did give me a different side to look at the problem

    Cheers
